Contact page email flow

The contact page prepares an email in the user’s email application. Information is not sent to Inside China Works until the user sends that email.

How information is used

Information is used to respond to enquiries, assess project scope, provide quotations, complete agreed work, communicate about the project and maintain necessary business records.

Client information is not public content

Client RFQs, quotations, supplier lists, target prices, commercial terms, internal documents and commissioned research do not automatically enter public pages.

Examples and case studies

Client work is used in public examples only with explicit permission and appropriate redaction or anonymisation.

Personal information

The service prioritises company-level information and does not normally request private email addresses, private mobile numbers, home addresses or unrelated personal data.

Use of AI and third-party tools

AI may assist with classification, comparison, drafting and consistency checks. Unnecessary confidential, personal or commercially sensitive information should not be entered into third-party AI or other external tools. Human review remains required.

Analytics and technical services

The site may use hosting, security and access-statistics services that process limited technical information such as page requests, browser type, approximate location, device information, referral pages and basic usage events.

Google Analytics is used for basic site traffic measurement. The contact page prepares an email in the user’s own email application instead of submitting a hosted web form.

Retention

Enquiry emails and project files are retained only for as long as reasonably needed to respond, deliver agreed work, manage revisions, maintain necessary business records and meet applicable obligations. A fixed automatic deletion schedule is not currently published.

Confidentiality

Reasonable confidentiality measures apply to non-public product plans, destination markets, supplier quotations, pricing, commercial conditions and internal documents.

Client responsibilities

Clients must have the right to provide submitted files and must not request illegal access, private-data collection, platform circumvention or unlawful mass outreach.

This notice describes the site’s current operating practices. Additional notices or terms may apply depending on the user’s location and the nature of an agreed project.
